SuperVault: A Trustee’s Guide
What is a SuperVault?
A secure digital vault on the SuperFam app to store and access critical financial documents, asset details, and more.
Designed to ensure families can access important information when they need it most.
If you are here - you may have come to this link via a SuperDoc that your family has shared with you. You are a trustee for a vault they have created. The vault contains specific information that the vault owner has chosen to safeguard for your access- after they pass away. If you would like to request access to a family member's vault for which you are a trustee - please read on below
How to Access a Vault
SuperDoc
Ensure you have your unique SuperDoc provided by the vault owner.
Double-check the phone number added against your name as a 'Trustee' for the vault - and ensure you have access to this phone number.
The SuperDoc contains an access key and an encryption key, essential for unlocking the vault.
Access ConditionsSuperDoc
Based on the vault owner's preferences - you may need to upload a death certificate & wait for verification, or you can directly request access and wait for a pre-determined number of days as per the settings for the vault. Either:
Death Certificate: Upload a death certificate & wait up to 10 business days for verification.
Waiting Period: Request access, which will be granted after a 15–60 days as set by the vault owner.
Please note that the vault owner is notified, and can cancel unexpected requests in all cases. Please request access in genuine scenarios only.
Step-by-Step Process
Open or install the SuperFam app. [www.superfam.app]
Navigate to the button for the Vault feature on the home screen.
Select My Family's Vaults and then tap the Request Access button.
Enter the access key from your SuperDoc.
Verify your phone number with an OTP (if logged in with a different number).
Upload the death certificate or start the waiting period process.
Once access is granted - Enter the encryption key or scan the QR code on your SuperDoc to unlock the vault and decrypt the contents.
Please note that if you are granted access to a vault - all other trustees will be notified via SMS & app notifications. They can also then enter the access & encryption keys on their SuperDoc for the same vault - and view the contents.
What Happens If Access is Denied?
If the vault owner is still alive and denies the request, you will be notified.
You can contact the vault owner for clarification or reinitiate the process if needed.
If a death certificate is not verified - contact support@superfam.app .
We will also reach out to you on the provided "trustee phone number"
